| Industrial yard ramp systems have literally innovated the economy by making the loading and un-loading of freight virtually possible in your own back yard. While most people don't want to spend thousands of dollars for this convenience, in the industrial world this is a mere essential.

Hydraulic Pump

The hydraulic yard ramp system allows for smooth and quick raising of the front lip to the proper dock or trailer height. Simply open the release valve to safely lower the unit into position. The pump is mounted internally to protect it from accidental damage.

Heavy-duty wheels and solid rubber, pneumatic profile tires make positioning the Yard ramp easy. For stationary dock installations, standard Yard ramps are available in 30' and 36' lengths without wheel assemblies.
The optional ramp clamp assists the operator in moving the Yard ramp over short distances. Fork lift tine inserts into the swivelling lift loop and is secured by a locking device. All Yard Ramp Systems come standard with your choice of a Ramp Clamp or a Tow Bar. |

Multiple Z cross members on each Yard ramp system are welded to the side girders, then self cleaning steel grating is welded to the Z members to form a one piece unitized Yard ramp.

- Standard safety chains hold the yard ramp securely to the trailer or dock.
Tow Bar
The optional tow bar features a fast locking, easy hook up to the yard ramp and makes towing over long distances practical. A quick disconnect feature improves handling efficiency. |
Yard Ramp System Selection Guidelines
Yard Ramp CAPACITY
The capacity you select must be greater than the combined weight of your heaviest fork lift and the heaviest weight of anticipated loads it will carry.
Yard Ramp USABLE WIDTH
Yard Ramp is available in 70" and 84" widths, with the 84" model accommodating more applications. The width should be at least 15" wider than the widest equipment to be used on the ramp. For rail-car use, select the ramp width wide enough to prevent the fork lift from hitting the ramp curbs as it turns into the rail-car. Consult your fork lift manual for radius turning capabilities. Measure your rail-car door openings to make sure the Yard Ramp will fit.
Yard Ramp TYPE AND LENGTH
Straight 30' Length This type is used primarily for ground to dock applications, where there is no Level off required.
Level off 36' Length A six-foot Level off at the end of the ramp adds maneuverability for fork lifts. This allows fork lifts easier turning access into rail-car and allows them to handle pallets next to the door openings. The 36' ramp is most popular where end-loading is required. The Level off type is noted by the letter "L" following the model number.

Mini Ramps
The one that started it all the Bluff (SYS) Yardramp has a new little brother. Don't interpret incorrectly thinking that small means "not as tough". There are a world of applications that have a target height that is one-half or less of normal dock height. When your high side is 33" or less you might consider this economical solution.
With the optional mobility package the Mini does not need the hydraulic actuated undercarriage to move it to the work. Two screw jacks with rigid steel casters are mounted at the balance point and a couple of people can move it on a hard surface. Floor plate approach both top and bottom insure a long life on the grating whether you are using manual equipment or forklift trucks.
Capacities start at 12,000# and go up from there. Widths of 70" & 84" and lengths starting at 15'. Call for special sizes and capacities.
